Professional Experience

 

Oct 2005 – Present – Communication Technologies, Inc. (COMTek) – Configuration Management Specialist. As an employee of COMTek, a Government contractor for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) supporting the Global Combat Support System program, I have acquired familiarity with DISA system development lifecycle, software configuration management policies, procedures and best practices, DoD office automation products, Rational Unified Process (RUP) for Configuration Management and system/software development. Duties include providing support to the Rational System Administration, Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Fielding, and Test Teams. I maintain the media library of government (GOTS) and commercial (COTS) software, media production and distribution. Develop policies and standards in order to ensure integrity, proper data management, and production efficiency of the library/ archives. I participate in the official delivery of software/releases to DISA’s repository, ensuring that the fielding and testing departments are supplied with the most current installation software available. Perform pre-delivery quality assurance checks on software, documentation using Rational Clear Case. The Test Readiness Review (TRR) to ensure proper media was properly CM. I am also responsible for preparing weekly/monthly statistic reports.

Feb 2002 – Oct 2005 – MIS – Floor / Front End Manager Provided support within a Windows NT environment, Install computers, printers, and software. I compiled daily sales and inventory figures to submit them to corporate head quarters. I was elected the OSHA safety coordinator for 65 employees. I ensured excellent customer service and safety to all members and guest.

Dec 2000 – Oct 2001 - Network Operation Engineer I was familiarized with the duties of a network operation center (NOC) activities. Managed customer trouble tickets through to completion using Remedy, and resolved a broad range of corporate desktop software and hardware issues. Monitored and diagnosed network connectivity, researched client Internet connectivity issues, maintained an internal knowledgebase and run-book content. Provide technical support 24X7, for high profile Internet sites, performed online content management functions using a proprietary editorial tool. Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly reports to upper management on duties performed.

Aug 1988 – Nov 1998 - Sales Supervisor Managed, scheduled 9 sales employees and was responsible for inventory control and asset management. As a Member Service Team Lead I insured that customer service was top priority and that the customer’s needs were met. As a merchandise receiver, my main duty was to track all incoming and outgoing deliveries. I started as a cashier, where I demonstrated excellent customer service skills while assisting customers through the check out line.
